DID MIKE SLING NANCY DOWN THE STAIRCASE?

By Howie Katz

Nancy Pelosi is seen in a portrait taken hours before she fell down a marble staircase

84-year-old California Democrat Nancy Pelosi was in Luxembourg on Friday with a bipartisan congressional delegation to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.

Pelosi was pictured gripping the hand of Texas Republican Michael McCaul on the grand marble staircase at the Grand Duke's palace. Suddenly she tumbled down the steps and suffered a serious hip injury that will require surgery.

Being the good Texas Republican that he is, I suspect that Mike took Nancy's hand so he could sling her down the staircase.

FOND MEMORIES WITH BILLY GRAHAM

By Howie Katz

Evangelist Billy Graham

Billy Graham took me to an Irish wake one evening during the 1950s when I was in New York. There were at least 30 people crammed into the apartment when Billy and I arrived. It was about this time of the year, so everyone, including Billy and me, piled their overcoats on a bed in the apartment.

Everyone, including the bereaved, was having a good time. There was plenty of good food and Irish whiskey and beer to go around.

Billy decided we would leave while most of the wake guests were still there. When we went into the bedroom, I had trouble finding my trench coat which got buried within the big pile of coats. Billy, who found his coat, grew impatient and told me, "Just pick any good coat, Howie, and let's go." I did find my coat before we left.

Oh, if you're wondering, that was Billy Graham the boxer, not Billy Graham the evangelist.

I couldn't resist putting a picture of the evangelist at the head of this post. And that trench coat is still hanging in my closet, although the moths have gotten the best of it.

THE REAL CRIMINALS IN THE DANIEL PENNY CASE

By Howie Katz

Now that a jury has vindicated Daniel Penny, I want to point out what crime was really committed and who the real criminals are in his case.

The only crime that was committed in the death of Jordan Neely was the malicious prosecution of Daniel Penny.

Penny would never have been charged in Neely's death had Neely been white,

And the real criminals in this case are Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Assistant District Attorney Dafna Yoran and New York Black Lives Matter leader  Hawk Newsome.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg

Assistant District Attorney Dafna Yoran repeated the possibility that Penny may not get prison time if he's found guilty. The DA's office has been asking journalists to update their stories throughout the trial to reflect that fact

Bragg should never have charged Penny with any crime. In a city notorious for bystanders not lifting a finger to come to the aid of a victim being physically assaulted by someone, Penny stepped forth to subdue Jordan Neely who was threatening subway passengers. Penny had no intention of harming Neely, but unfortunately he died in the struggle. Bragg caved in to a mob of protesters demanding 'Justice for Jordan Neely'.

Yoran, who prosecuted Penny, went the extra mile to secure a conviction that could send a true hero to prison. If she had any decency, she would have refused to prosecute Penny.

Newsome flat out threatened Penny. He publicly declared that "We need some black vigilantes ...  people want to jump up and choke us and kill us... How about we do the same when they attempt to oppress us?" As Maureen Callahan said, "He should have been arrested on the spot."

Penny is the victim of a malicious prosecution and threats against his life. Bragg, Yoran and Newsome wanted Penny to be imprisoned, but it is they who should be prosecuted and incarcerated in prison.

And then there are the authorities who allowed Neely, a nutjob with a criminal history of more than 40 arrests, to roam free around the streets and subways of New York.

Judge Jeanine was spot on when she called Daniel Penny "A true hero in every sense of the word."

TODAY IS PEARL HARBOR DAY

By Howie Katz

The devastation of the USS Arizona during the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor.

83 years ago on Sunday, December 7, 1941, the Japs conducted a sneak attack on Pearl Harbor with 353 warplanes.

They damaged or sunk all of the eight U.S. Navy battleships anchored there, as well as three cruisers and three destroyers. 2,400 members of our military lost their lives.

Fortunately for us, and to the detriment of Japan, our aircraft carriers were out at sea.

President Franklin D. Roosevelt called December 7, 1941 "a date which will live in infamy."

We should never forget!

ARREST BRAGG AND YORAN FOR MALICIOUS PROSECUTION

As Meghan McCain said, "Daniel Penny did nothing wrong, you lunatics."

Daniel Penny is thee victim of malicious prosecution. In a city notorious for bystanders not lifting a finger to come to the aid of a victim being physically assaulted by someone, Penny stepped forth to subdue Jordan Neely who was threatening subway passengers. Penny had no intention of killing Neely, but unfortunately he died in the struggle.

The only reason DA Alvin Bragg filed charges against Penny was because protesters filled the street with 'Justice for Jordan Neely' signs. Had Neely been white, there would have been no protests and no charges would have been filed against Penny.

Protesters at Washington Square Park on Friday.

People protest the death of Jordan Neely in New York City, May 5, 2023

During the trial, prosecutor Dafna Yoran went the extra mile to secure a conviction that could send a true hero to prison. If she had any decency, she would have refused to prosecute Penny.

Penny is simply the victim of malicious prosecution for which Bragg and Yoran ought to be arrested. It's Bragg and Yoran who should be imprisoned, not Daniel Penny.

'DANIEL PENNY DID NOTHIN WRONG, YOU LUNATICS'

Meghan McCain expresses outrage over Penny trial

Meghan McCain

Meghan McCain posted this on X:

I don’t think the left fully grasps how much they are radicalizing people when a marine who saved a bunch of people on the subway from a violent person with mental illness yelling “someone is going to die today” is demonized.

Daniel Penny did nothing wrong, you lunatics.
