The 2024 Texas Narcotic Officers Association (TNOA) Conference in Galveston, Texas, was a great success! We had an incredible turnout with over 600 officers in attendance, showing the strong commitment of our members to enhancing their skills and knowledge in the fight against narcotics.

I wanted to take a moment to highlight a truly special event from the 2024 TNOA Annual Training Conference. We were honored to have Howie Katz, the founding father of the Texas Narcotic Officers Association, speak at our Awards Banquet. At 97 years old, Howie captivated the audience with his reflections on the creation of TNOA back in 1969.

His speech was a reminder of the legacy we carry on today. Howie shared his experiences, the challenges with drug use that we continue to face, and the vision that has guided our association for over five decades. His words were not only inspiring but also a powerful testimony to the commitment of TNOA.

The Founding of TNOA

When I as a California law enforcement officer, I was active in the California Narcotic Officers Association, of which I am a Life Member.

In 1969 I accepted a teaching position at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. One of the first things I did was to inquire about the Texas Narcotic Officer Association. When I found out there was no such thing, I decided to organize such an organization.

I approached Dr. George Killinger, the department head, and told him of my intention. He was very receptive.. He agreed to bear the expense of letting me make telephone calls to law enforcement agencies all over the state so I could invite officers to SHSU for an organizational meeting. Dr. Killinger also agreed to provide lunch for all of the attending officers. 

The third or fourth phone call I made was  to the Houston PD where I promptly ran into a roadblock. Capt. Jack Renois, head of the Narcotics division, emphatically stated that we could not form a state narcotic officers organization without the explicit approval of DPS. I did not argue with hum that he was mistaken.

I immediately called DPS Director Col. Wilson Speir. He was very enthusiastic about forming TNOA. He told me he would have Elmer Terrell, the head of DPS narcotics division, call me. Elmer called me about ten minutes later and we agreed on a date for the meeting. After that, Capt. Renois was aboard.

The meeting at SHSU was well attended by officers from all over the state. Elmer Terrell was chosen as TNOA's president, a damn good choice. TNOA received its state charter in 1970.

THE OLYMPICS HAVE BECOME AN AWFUL JOKE

What in the world has happened to the Olympics? For many years the Olympics, as intended, consisted almost exclusively of track and field events. Then they added the Winter Olympics with bobsledding, skiing and figure skating. Thereafter they added team sports like Basketball and hockey.

But the Olympics have sunk to a new low They've added break dancing ...  that's right, break dancing. And now the Olympics is allowing transgender women  to participate in women's sports ... that's right, men participating in women's sports.

While they're at it,  why don't they add Gangbanging to the next Olympics? That would be an exciting sport. Street gangs in each country would compete in shootouts, and the winner would compete in the Olympics in a shootout with the winning street gangs from other countries.

As far as I'm concerned, the Olympics have become an awful joke.

TRUMP'S KAMIKAZE MISSION

Donald Trump has agreed to debate Kamala Harris on ABC on September 10. He has also called for two additional debates. 

The man has lost his mind. Trump's quest for a debate with Harris is a kamikaze mission. She will eat his lunch and then some.

 

Trump will not be facing a feeble Biden. Harris is a skilled debater, while Trump has shown himself to be crude at best in previous debates with Biden. 

And Harris will pounce on Trump if he resorts again to making a bunch of false claims as he did in his debates with Biden.

 

During World War II, a select group of Japanese pilots volunteered to go on kamikaze missions of crashing their explosive-laden planes into American warships, but most of them failed to strike their targets because they were shot down in flames by antiaircraft fire. Trump, like the Japanese kamikaze pilots, will fail to destroy Harris in his debate mission because she will shoot him down in flames.

Trump would have been blistered by the media had he refused to debate Harris. But that would be mild compared to the torching he'll get once Harris has demolished him in the debate.

Trump needs this kamikaze mission like another hole in his head.

FRNCH OLYMPIC POLE VAULTER HAD A HARD-ON AT THE WRONG MOMENT

21-year-old French Olympic pole vaulter Anthony Ammirati had his dream for a medal shattered by his dick.

During his attempted vault, he had a hard-on, and on his way down after clearing the crossbar his dick knocked the bar down. That ended hie quest for a medal.

But don't feel bad for Anthony. Now thousands and thousands of women from all over the world are longing for him to stick his dick in ... you know where.

And CamSoda, a pornographic website, has offered Anthony $250,000 to star in its porn movies.

Anthony's hard-on cost him an Olympic medal, but it has turned out to be worth a helluva lot more.

KATY, TEXAS POLICE CHIEF CHOSEN AS HOUSTON'S NEW CHIEF

Houston Mayor John Whitmire (left) formally introduced former Katy Police Chief J. Noe Diaz as the Houston Police Department's new leader on Friday.  

 

J. Noe Diaz was a Texas ranger for 11 years and retired to become the Katy, Texas police chief in 2019. Katy is a city of 25,000 just west of Houston. Diaz leaves a department of 91 officers to take over a department of 6,091 officers.

The Houston Police Department is currently struggling with a monumental scandal involving a failure to investigate more than 264,000 crimes - that's right, 264,000 - during the past eight years. Those cases were simply suspended under a 'Lack of Personnel' code.

Civic activist Jay Wall recently declared HPD desperately needs someone who knows how to run a 21st century PD. I'm not sure Diaz fits that bill.

 

 

Former New York Police Commissioner (twice) and Los Angeles Police Chief Bill Bratton

 

It's too bad Mayor Whitmire did not try to coax Bill Bratton out of retirement to become Houston's chief. Bratton served twice as New York Police Commissioner and also as Los Angeles Police Chief. He has proven himself to be someone who knows how to run a 21st century PD.

Because Whitmire wanted a chief who was familiar with Houston but was not with HPD, he never looked far beyond Houston for a new chief of police.

I wish J. Noe Diaz lots of luck as Houston's chief of police. He'll need it.

SHE WAS A FOUL MOUTH, MEAN BITCH BEHIND THE SCENES

Rabble rousing antisemite Al Sharpton, Kamala Harris , Bill and Hillary Clinton, antisemite Jesse Jackson, and Democratic House leader Hakeem Jeffries were among those who attended Sheila Jackson Lee's funeral in Houston on Thursday.

Jackson Lee was pictured as bigger than life by those who spoke at the funeral, when in fact she was a foul mouth, mean bitch behind the scenes. Just ask her former staff members.

During her three decades in the House, Jackson Lee did very little to improve the lives of the constituents in her rundown congressional district.

I am truly sorry Jackson Lee suffered from cancer, but I for one sure as hell won't miss her.
