It's Columbus Day and not Indigenous Peoples' Day, damn it!!
By Howie Katz
Yesterday was Columbus Day.
Columbus Day commemorates the landing of Christopher Columbus in the New World on October 12, 1492. Columbus Day became an official US holiday in 1937.
Christopher Columbus well deserves to have an official US holiday. His journey was quite a feat. It took a great amount of courage to sail the uncharted waters.. At the time, it was commonly believed the earth was flat and that anyone who dared to go past the horizon would fall off into oblivion.
Everything went well with Columbus Day until the death of George Floyd when BLM and other radical-left protesters demanded that Columbus Day be abolished because he and his crew allegedly mistreated the inhabitants of Hispaniola.
Columbus stands accused of murder, genocide, of enslaving the Hispaniola
natives, and of being a colonizer. All of that is utter nonsense. That is Marxist history, not true history.
At the same time statues of Robert E. Lee and other Confederate heroes were defaced and toppled, statues of Columbus received the same mistreatment.
Vandals cheer after they toppled the Christopher Columbus statue at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul
In Providence, Rhode Island, Columbus was splattered in red paint with a “Stop Celebrating Genocide" sign tied around the pedestal and the word “genocide” also spray-painted on the base
What a shame that the far-left vandals do not appreciate Columbus' place in history. Looking at pictures of the protesters, they are mostly white and college students or graduates who have been radicalized by Marxist professors.
The radicals have succeeded in abolishing Columbus Day and having it replaced by Indigenous Peoples' Day in the states of Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia and Wisconsin. Hundreds of communities across the land have also cancelled Columbus and recognize only Indigenous Peoples' day.
I however will continue to celebrate Columbus, a great explorer whose courage led him to sail beyond the end of the flat earth to discover the New World.
As for Indigenous Peoples' Day, for me there is no such day and there will never be such day. And fuck all the people who wanted to abolish Columbus Day ... That's right, Fuck 'em!Even inside a ladies room at Arizona State University, students harassed Democratic Senator Kyrsten Sinema for refusing to support Biden's budget busting bills

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema
How disgusting have student protestors become not to see that harassing a woman entering a private space is inhumane, moronic and cruel - not to mention, a felony, under Arizona law.
The other thing I thought of was Congresswoman Maxine Watters infamously encouraging democrats during the Trump years to harass Trump administration officials in public.
Ah yes, Maxine Waters.
In April, this is what Waters told George Floyd protesters in Minneapolis:
"Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere."
Of course, protesters are not limiting their harassment to cabinet members. There's no doubt the students that harassed Sen. Sinema were inspired by Waters. The International Criminal Court (ICC) is going after Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte for his draconian measures in fighting the War on Drugs
By Howie Katz
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte
I've always admired President Duterte for having the balls to fight drugs by draconian measures in order to keep the Philippines from becoming a drug besotted USA.
When he ran for President in 2016, he promised
to rid the Philippines of drugs. Once he took office, he ordered the
police to kill drug users and dealers. An estimated 6,000 were thus
killed. I'm sure that, unfortunately, some of those killed were innocent, but as in any war there will be collateral casualties.

The ICC is investigating Duterte for Crimes Against Humanity. I maintain the use and sales of illegal drugs like heroin, cocaine, meth and fentanyl among others is a greater crime against humanity.
Although marijuana advocates insist it is not a gateway drug, there is plenty of evidence that those seeking a better high, turn to more potent substances once the use of cannabis becomes prosaic.
Just look at the illegal drug mess our country is in now. And wait till our youth discover bombe, the smoking of catalytic converters as practiced now in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Going after the manufacturers and distributors of illegal drugs will not solve our drug problems. Legalization of marijuana will just worsen the problem. We should have punished marijuana users back in the 1950s when the counter culture took hold. A little jail time would have been more effective than primarily going after the manufacturers and distributors.
Have Duterte' draconian measures been effective? Well, he has prevented the Philippines from becoming a drug besotten USA.
Instead of going after Duterte, the ICC should go after the Mexican leaders that have allowed the drug cartels to flourish.
